Susan Van Sleet is an artist, reunited birth mother and writer who survived the heartbreak of placing her daughter through closed adoption during an era of "silent surrender." Susan will discuss the writing of "Mary & Me: Beyond the Canvas," her first book. Copies will be available for sale and signing.

Currently, T.B. Scott Free Library has a display of glass paperweights on loan to the library from Courtside Furniture of Merrill. Museums throughout the United States have fantastic collections of this style of art both in antique and modern forms. The library is fortunate to have a small sample on display for our community.
Read 1000 books with your child before he or she enters school! Parents, register at the Youth Services Desk for an information packet and free children's book. A new free children's book is awarded at each 100 book milestone, for a total of 11 free books when you reach 1000!
