Affordable Care Act One-On-One Help
Saturday March 8th 10:00 am - 3:30 pm and Thursday March 27 10:00 am - 6:00 pm Free Event. Get personal help in signing up for the Affordable Care Act through the Healthcare Marketplace. Assisters from SRA International, a federally-certified ACA contractor, will provide computers (or bring your own) and be ready to sign you up onsite, or just provide information. Bring a photo ID, your Social Security numbers, proof of income, e.g., W-2s or pay stubs, and policy numbers for health coverage any family member presently has in force.
"Ideas Unite, Issues Divide" Program
Sunday March 23rd in the T.B. Scott Community Room (1:00-3:30) listen to Richard Kyte, Director of the D. B. Reinhart Institute for Ethics in Leadership and Professor of Philosophy at Viterbo University, lead a thought-provoking discussion about what we believe and why we believe it. Kyte aspires to contribute to everyday conversation about right and wrong, about virtue and misconduct, not by taking sides but by arguing that such conversation itself is the essence of the good, well-lived life. Kyte's books, An Ethical Life and Ideas Unite, Issues Divide, will be available for sale and signing.
Job Center of Wisconsin at the Library
Tuesday April 8th 10:00-11:30 am and Wednesday April 8th 6:00-7:30 pm. The T.B. Scott Library, in partnership with the Department of Workforce Development, will offer job seeking help to patrons. Twice a month, a representative from the Wausau Job Center will be available at the T.B. Scott Library to assist in your work search. Come to the library for personalized help with writing a resume, interview skills, online job hunting, and anything else that will help you land the perfect employer. No reservation our computer skills required.
